| Robert, a member of the firm since 1995, practices exclusively in the area of Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation with special concentration in the area of Accident Benefits Disputes with insurers. Robert attended at the University of Toronto where he obtained his Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 1988. He then obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1991. Following his call to the Bar in 1993, Robert practiced Commercial Litigation with the firm of McLean and Kerr. He then joined Levinter & Levinter where he developed special expertise in the representation of insured persons in disputes with insurers regarding first party benefits.
Robert has appeared at all levels of Court in Ontario and has acted as counsel on numerous significant and complex Personal Injury trials. He has also appeared before The Canada Pension and Appeal Board where he obtained an award of 9 years of retroactive disability benefits for an injured claimant. Robert acts on behalf of Plaintiff's in first and third party motor vehicle actions, occupiers liability actions and private disability insurance claims. He has extensive experience in all facets of personal injury litigation including arguing motions in Court, trial preparation, trial advocacy, and the negotiation of settlements through alternative dispute resolution.
In addition to his practice Robert is a member of the Advocates Society Insurance Committee and he has acted as a contributor to continuing education programs offered by the Canadian Bar Association and Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. |
