Neil W. Oakley
Neil graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000 and was called to the Bar in 2002. Prior to legal practice Neil obtained a specialist Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, with a Major in Zoology and Minor in Botany at the University of Toronto and has worked in hospitals as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Microbiology and Haematology. Neil practices exclusively in the area of plaintiff-side medical malpractice, including litigation against hospitals, nursing homes and individual health care providers and also represents patients who wish to pursue a complaint against their care providers at the various regulated health professional colleges.

Neil’s experience in the hospital environment provides him with a unique perspective on the care demands and requirements of patients and the expected roles of heath care providers. Neil has attended at various levels of Court, tribunals and Coroner’s Inquests, and represented clients at various stages of litigation, including discoveries, motions and mediations. Along with his partner, Amani, who also practices at Levinters, Neil is a dedicated advocate on behalf of patients who have been injured as a result of medical misadventure.
